Community Guidelines

Omni is built for meaningful, real-world connections. These Community Guidelines exist to keep Omni safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone. By using Omni, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in account restrictions or permanent removal.
Our core values: Respect, authenticity, safety, and inclusion. Every interaction on Omni should reflect these principles.
1. Respect & Kindness
Treat every person on Omni with dignity and respect.
- No harassment or bullying. Do not intimidate, threaten, demean, or persistently target another user
- No hate speech. Do not attack individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- No threats or incitement to violence. Do not threaten harm to any person, or encourage others to do so
- No stalking. Do not use Omni's location features to track, follow, or surveil another person without their knowledge and consent
- Respect boundaries. If someone asks you to stop contacting them, respect their request. Use the block feature when needed
2. Authenticity & Honesty
Be genuine. Omni is about real connections with real people.
- No impersonation. Do not pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your identity
- No fake profiles. Your profile should represent you. Do not create accounts for fictional characters, organizations, or non-existent people
- No misleading content. Do not spread false information, hoaxes, or conspiracy theories designed to deceive or cause harm
- One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate the platform
3. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on Omni and will result in immediate action:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any sexual or exploitative content involving minors. This is reported to authorities
- Sexual exploitation. Non-consensual intimate imagery, revenge pornography, sextortion, or sexual solicitation of minors
- Terrorism and violent extremism. Content that promotes, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist organizations or violent extremist causes
- Graphic violence. Content depicting real-world violence, gore, or torture intended to shock or glorify
- Illegal activity. Content that promotes, facilitates, or constitutes illegal activity, including drug trafficking, weapons sales, or fraud
- Self-harm and suicide. Content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
4. Usernames & Profile Content
- Usernames are subject to automated profanity filtering. Usernames that contain offensive, hateful, or sexually explicit language will be automatically rejected
- Profile avatars and personal information must not contain prohibited content
- Do not use your profile to advertise, promote products/services, or solicit money without permission
5. Messaging Conduct
- Do not send unsolicited sexual, violent, or offensive content in messages
- Do not spam users with repetitive, irrelevant, or mass-sent messages
- Do not share personal information of others (doxxing) without their explicit consent
- Do not use messaging to solicit personal information, financial details, or passwords from other users
6. Location & Place Etiquette
- Do not create places with offensive, misleading, or inappropriate names or descriptions
- Do not use check-in or location features to track, stalk, or monitor others
- Respect the location privacy settings of other users
- Do not create fake or misleading places to deceive other users
7. Game Conduct
- Play games in the spirit of fun and friendship
- Do not use game prompts or responses to harass, offend, or target other players
- Do not exploit game features or manipulate results
8. No Spam, Scams, or Manipulation
- No spam. Do not send mass unsolicited messages, friend requests, or check-ins
- No scams. Do not attempt to defraud, phish, or deceive other users for financial or personal gain
- No manipulation. Do not abuse the reporting system, referral system, or any other feature
- No bots or automation. Do not use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Service
- No commercial solicitation. Do not use Omni for unauthorized advertising, marketing, or sales
9. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the in-app reporting tools to flag the user or content
- Reports are reviewed by our team and appropriate action is taken
- Do not abuse the reporting system to harass or target other users with false reports
- You can also contact us directly at support@omni.name for urgent safety concerns
10. Enforcement
We enforce these guidelines through a graduated response system. The severity of the action depends on the nature and frequency of the violation:
- Level 1 — Warning: A notification that your content or behavior violates our guidelines, with a request to stop
- Level 2 — Content Removal: Offending content is removed from the platform
- Level 3 — Temporary Restriction: Your account may be temporarily restricted from certain features (messaging, check-ins, etc.)
- Level 4 — Temporary Suspension: Your account may be temporarily suspended for a defined period
- Level 5 — Permanent Ban: Your account is permanently removed from Omni. This action is reserved for severe or repeated violations
Certain violations (CSAM, terrorism, credible threats of violence) result in immediate permanent removal and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.
11. Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@omni.name. Please include:
- Your username
- A description of the action taken
- Your explanation of why you believe the action was in error
We will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Our decision on appeals is final.
12. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines to address new types of harmful behavior or to clarify existing rules. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
